Why I chose to Study Japanese

I decided to study Japanese to help me get in touch with my family's culture. My father is Japanese and my mother is half Japanese, but I never really learned the language outside of hiragana/katakana and some phrases. I am excited to finally be able to carry a conversation with members of my family who speak Japanese in the near future. After 4 weeks of class, I am still stumbling over my words when speaking Japanese on the spot.

  1. けんじさん こんにちは! TAの小林(こばやし)です。
    けんじさんのおとうさんとおかあさんは、にほんごをはなしますか。

ごかぞくで、にほんごをはなすひとがいたら、(if there is a Japanese speaking person in your family,)
    そのひとと、にほんごのれんしゅうをしてくださいね。(please practice Japanese with them.)

    ではまた。TA小林(こばやし)
